An Exploration of the senses, subtleties, and connection of the senses, subtleties, and connection

We are living in a time with many unknowns, and it can be challenging to manage the inflow of information, distraction, and fear. This workshop is an opportunity to intentionally block out external factors and travel inward - in community!

Participants will be guided through a series of sensory experiences designed to invite embodiment and ignite awareness of our multi-sensory nature. We’ll incorporate intention setting, experiential activities, imagination, and reflection. We’ll offer a blend of individual and group options honoring the diverse ways people show up.

When we make space in our lives to explore the dark, our relationship to the outer world shifts. When we slow down and become present, other realms reveal themselves. Subtleties are magnified. Perspective changes. What seems ominous in the shadows can be alchemized into light. Our hope is that the observations, sensations, and connections sparked during our time together will be carried into the ordinary experiences in daily life.

There are two (2) volunteer tickets available for those who would be willing and able to help with set up and registration/signing attendees in. Volunteers must arrive early - by 12:00 pm.

There is also one "Giveaway Ticket for Good Karma" for someone who wishes to attend but doesn't have the funds. This is first come, first served. As always though, if you wish to attend and the fee is an issue, you may contact the All Souls Office if this ticket is no longer available.

If you have any questions or access requests please contact kglynn@allsoulsinterfaith.org or HeidiSwevens@gmail.com.

Facilitators:

Heidi Swevens

Creativity has been inextricably united with Heidi’s spiritual unfolding. When she was in her early 20’s she experienced retinal detachments that led to total blindness for a brief time. This visceral experience of darkness-literally and symbolically reshaped her life direction. Outwardly she studied social work while inwardly she explored meaning and purpose. Photography offered a sacred rebellion to many of the barriers society put on her. It also brought experiences of timeless zones, joy, and connection.

Uncertainty and fluctuations in literal vision have continued paradoxically strengthening faith in what cannot be seen with the eyes alone. Heidi’s 30 years working with people of all ages in human services and the arts compliment her spiritual path. She completed All Souls School of Spiritual Direction in 2025. Today Heidi offers spiritual companionship and archetypal consulting in addition to workshops. She also presents on a variety of topics centering access, creativity, and meaning. The working title for her next photography show is “Wholeness has Parts”.

Rev. Kim Marie Glynn

Kim Marie's spiritual path includes working with the powers of perception and diving into inner states and senses. She believes as consciousness continues to expand, and we explore the unconscious we also will gain higher forms of seeing and hearing from the inside out. Exploring the senses is a sacred practice she enjoys personally and collectively to learn, unlearn, heal and holy harmonize as one.

Both Faciliitators

Heidi and Kim Marie met in 2019 at All Souls in a workshop called “Sensing the Sacred” with Grandfather Lench Archuletta of WindSpirit Teachings and headed to the Sonoran desert together. Ever since, they have shared their visions of leading together with heart and soul, seeing from the inside out.
