Christmas Eve Service - A Community of Hope

Spiritual holidays of this season use light to celebrate the power of spiritual hope. Christians decorate with lights to symbolize Jesus as the light of the world. During Diwali, Hindus celebrate the hope through fireworks displays and candles. The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah celebrates hope from the ancient Hanukkah miracle of lights. On Saturday, December 24th at 4:30 p.m., Rev. Don considers how light overpowers darkness in the physical realm, just as the light of hope is stronger than the darkness of discouragement and despair. Readings of the season will be provided by community members, with music by the All Souls Choir under the direction of Music Director, Ronnie Romano.
